I wish I had more time to sketch....
Ahh...its finals week and I'm already up until 2 am and its only Monday. Although I would like to post my finished project but I haven't quite gotten there yet. So here is some illustrations that I love and just inspire me to sketch and draw more....what I would much rather being doing on a Sunday.

Legos...
It was my brothers birthday last week and he got a great present...the John Hancock Building for Legos (oh and he turned 27). While I was browsing the web today (while I'm supposed to be studying) I came across these great legos of architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright. I'll have to make sure my brother sees these for his Christmas list...

In My Opinion....
I love fall. I took this picture last fall for my black and white photography class. I think there are so many great moments in this picture...like the shadows of the leaves on the wooden plank to the left...your eyes are constantly moving throughout the picture. It also has an eerie sense to it, which I love.

Flu season is here...vitamins anyone
I keep meaning to post my past projects but I haven't gotten around to it, but this one seems necessary to post considering the time of year that is upon us. I did this project for a packaging class last spring. I came up with the name, logo, packaging, a promotional brochure, and point of purchase. These vitamins are geared towards young adults who might not be familiar with all the benefits of the different types of vitamins. I created a clear message on the packages that made it easy for people to chose the one that best suits their needs. Stay tuned for my current take on vitamins for the H1N1 virus....

Mmmm....
My cousin Meg works as a cake decorator at White Flour Cake Shoppe in Beachwood and thanks to her we celebrated September 29th with this beautiful chocolate cake. (For no reason, but just because surprisingly this cake never sold.) I've always thought that if I wasn't a graphic designer, I would be a baker or a caterer...but I'm pretty sure I would be tempted to eat my homework for breakfast and be 20 pounds heavier.

Almost October...
I love this 2010 letterpressed calendar from Paisley Tree Press...I just might have to invest in one for myself. Now that I am taking this Experimental Type class I am loving admiring other letterpressed projects. I can't wait to post what I made in class.

Maybe I just Need a Little Inspiration...
Well...I should be doing homework of course, but I thought maybe I needed a little inspiration. I started this blog last spring for my Kinetic and Sequential class and have not kept up with at all. And the few posts I did do in that class...they were not very exciting, who knows I might even delete them...we'll see. Anyways, I am currently taking Experimental Type and I have been browsing different blogs and websites with type and different letterpressing projects and I came across this letterpress set on Flickr...they are great. So I really liked this one because this is something I am always trying to do...be present, be here now and I thought to myself "I need to see this more often" and where else am I everyday than on my computer?! So I decided to start my blog up again...but with a little more inspiration this time.
